Creative direction and visual production for brands that compete on perception.
Gast Studio is a creative studio based in Amsterdam. In a landscape crowded with content, story is what makes people feel something and remember it. We direct, design, and produce that story across CGI, film, motion, AI, and object design, for brands that compete on perception.
We are a small team by design. The people shaping the creative direction are the same people overseeing production through delivery. That proximity between thinking and making is what keeps the work precise.
The thinking comes first. The craft makes it real.
Our foundation is CGI, and seven years in, the technical capability runs deep. But the tools on any given brief, whether 3D, motion, generative AI, or design, are shaped by what the work needs to achieve. Not by what we happen to specialise in. The medium serves the idea.
Every frame is directed with the same standard: make the product feel like the best version of the brand it belongs to. Work that elevates perception, earns attention, and performs commercially. That is the brief we hold ourselves to, whether the client writes it or not.
From concept through final delivery. One team, one vision.
The scope of each project is shaped by the brief, not a fixed service menu. These are the disciplines we work across.
Creative Direction
Concept development, visual strategy, and art direction from first conversation through final delivery. Whether you need a creative partner or an execution team, we adapt to where you need us.
CGI & AI
Photorealistic product imagery, environments, and visual effects combined with generative AI tools. Seven years of 3D craft, continuously expanded with new technology.
Film & Motion
Hero product films, campaign animations, and moving image. Directed for the formats and platforms where your audience pays attention.
Object Design & Production
Products designed and physically produced, for retail, gifting, or merch. We make our own objects and yours, through a global network of manufacturers.
Visual Identity & Design
Brand assets, campaign layouts, and visual systems when the project calls for it. Always in service of the larger creative direction.
Strategy & Campaign
We work alongside your team to define the right creative approach for a specific product, brand, and moment. Data, positioning, and creative thinking before a single frame is produced.
We work with brands where perception is the product.
Most of our work is for brands where how the product is presented directly affects how it is valued. The categories shift, but the principle is the same: visual quality is not decoration. It is commercial strategy.
The goal was never to be noticed.
It was to be felt, and then remembered.
Based in Amsterdam. Small by intention.
Gast Studio is a core team of CGI and AI artists working from Singel 260 in Amsterdam. For each project, we bring in specialists from a network of artists, animators, designers, and technicians built over years of collaboration.
The size is deliberate. Senior attention on every project, a single creative vision from start to finish, and the flexibility to scale when a brief requires it.

Jean-Baptiste
Jean-Baptiste is a French designer, creative director, and CGI artist based in Amsterdam, and the founder of Gast Studio. He came to CGI through narrative and design, not the other way around, and the studio still works that way: taste leads, craft follows. He built the team around that idea and directs its creative work, collaborating with houses like Dior, Hermes, Valentino, and Renault. It's a studio where commercial thinking and visual craft are never separate skills.
Objects that started on screen.
Alongside client work, Gast Studio designs and produces physical objects under Gast.obj. Vases, bowls, and sculptural pieces that translate digital form into manufactured artifacts, exploring the tension between CGI's material language and traditional craft.
